The library is free!!

The central library of Rotterdam, one of the city’s landmarks, is accessible. Students do not have to pay ANYTHING to become a member.

The building was constructed according to plans by Jaap Bakema and Hans Boot and resembles the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Many people call it ugly, while others refer to it as the ‘glass waterfall’.

From October onwards, the library will relocate to the Librijesteeg, 200 meters away, for renovations.

If you want to become a member, just walk onto an employee and tell them you are a student. Don’t miss it!
